BIOGRAPHY

DR. JACQUELINE A. WATSON is the founder, President and CEO of Health Concepts International, LLC, (HCI) a personalized, solution-focused healthcare management and strategy consulting firm in Washington, DC (www.consultHCI.com). Dr. Watson is a family practice physician by clinical training, with an MBA in health management and policy, and is responsible for the strategic vision, service development and management oversight of all HCI activities.  HCI specializes in health and wellness promotion and disease prevention program design, development and implementation, health care strategic planning and policy assessment, and health education.
 
As the founder of Jamaican Women of Washington, Inc. (JWoW) and president of the board of directors, Dr. Watson skillfully leads a team of volunteer professional women, all of Jamaican heritage, who have pledged to raise funds to help vulnerable citizens in Jamaica, the Caribbean, and Greater Washington, DC. Dr. Watson and the JWoW team firmly believe that as ordinary private citizens we must do public good and help those most in need of assistance.

Dr. Watson has been recognized by the Jamaican community for both her professional work and charitable contributions. In 2006, she received the International Award for Excellence from the Blue Cross of Jamaica Environmental Health Foundation, for her outstanding contributions in the Promotion of Wellness and Healthy Lifestyles. In 2005, she was recognized for her dedication and service to improving the health of the underserved, locally and internationally, by the Jamaican Nationals Association of Greater Washington.

Dr. Watson is a graduate of Immaculate Conception High School, St. Andrew, Jamaica; Howard University, Washington, DC; New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, Long Island, NY; Georgetown University School of Medicine, Family Practice Residency program; and the George Washington University School of Business and Public Management. She is married and lives with her husband and their twelve year old son in the District of Columbia.
